Blue Cottage

Description

This is a cottage with a long history. It is located on the family farm, that has been owned and operated by the Gray family since the mid 19th century. It was also the first marital home of former All Black Ken Gray.

The Blue Cottage is nestled against the green hills of the 660ha Gray farm, that you're welcome to explore by foot after consultation with the farm manager. It has just been renovated recently, providing a peaceful and light environment for a relaxing time with stunning views over the farm and the inlet that you can enjoy while having a cup of tea in the comfortable lounge.

It's 2.4 km from the Plimmerton Beach, safe for swimming and with lovely cafes and vibrant village life and seaside walks handy. It's just a few minutes drive to State HW1 and Plimmerton railway station, where trains leave regularly to Wellington City. All the Wellington attractions - Te Papa, Westpac Stadium, cable car etc. - are at your fingertips. Trains take you right into the Stadium for your favourite cultural and sporting attractions.

The Blue Cottage is just 3 km from Pauatahanui, which has cafes, a 2 cinema lighthouse complex, bar and restaurants, wildlife reserve with hides for viewing the birds and is close to the Te Ara Piko walkway, being built around the inlet.
You also find the waterski club and sailboarding facilities nearby.
